German Design Award 2024 - Winner, NX1

In the ever-evolving landscape of product design, recognition is not just a validation of our efforts but a celebration of creativity, innovation, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. Recently, NUVE had the honour of receiving a prestigious design award for our flagship product NX1. This recognition not only reaffirmed our commitment to pushing boundaries but also served as a testament to the collective dedication and passion of our entire team.

Design plays a crucial role in product development, with people at the centre of the process, understanding challenges and overcoming them through design. It can be very rewarding to see customers using a product with ease and intuition whilst also fulfilling their specific needs from the product. The recognition by experts in the field is the icing on the cake. 

Commissioned by the German Design Council, the highest design authority in Germany, the German Design Award represents the best new developments in the design industry. The award sets international standards for innovative design developments around the globe. Products are critiqued on current societal demands and the impact they have through multi-perspective approaches, sustainable and circular design processes and environmentally-friendly production. The Design Council awarded NUVE with outstanding and excellent product design for the NX1 bicycle cover. You can read some the judges comments below and find out more here.

The 'NUVE Mayfair Fur' cover for bicycles can be comfortably stretched over the bike to protect it from the weather and dirt. The fact that 90% recycled materials are used to manufacture and package the product, is sustainable.
